About Arkansas Glassworks

Arkansas Glassworks provides stained and leaded glass windows for churches and homes throughout Arkansas. Established in 1993, the company takes pride in building windows the way tradition has established, with strict attention to detail and structural integrity. Owner Jay King has been working in the field of stained glass since 1972.

Commissions for churches are Arkansas Glasswork's primary focus, although residential and commercial comprise a good portion of the workload. Beveled glass entryways are a specialty for the company.

Design

Arkansas Glassworks treats every commission as a unique project with its own set of criteria. The desires and wishes of the client, the demands of the architecture, the light and color requirements all play a role in determining the design of the windows. Whether the end result is to be contemporary or traditional, each window is custom designed.

The three photos are:

1. With gold cross: The window is from the Temple Missionary Baptist, Bald Knob. It is a baptistry window using Spectrum wispy opalescents.

2. With clear cross on blue background: Bethlehem Baptist  -  Greenbrier, AR. A 3-panel baptistry window using opalescents and a blue Baroque background, changing to green on the sides.  It has a clear border, clear peak bevels in the center of the cross and clear faceted jewels where lead lines intersect.

3. With red cross: Faith Baptist  -  McCrory, AR. A 3-panel baptistry window using many shades of green, blue and amber opalescents.  The cross is red and purple cathedral glass.  We also built side windows for this church.
