Materials

A stained glass studio should offer its customers a wide range of choices when it comes to raw materials. Arkansas Glassworks does this by carrying glass manufactured from around the country and around the globe. From domestic glass manufacturers such as Kokomo, Wissmach, Spectrum, Bullseye, Urobouros and Blenko to imported glass manufacturers like Fremont, Casimir and Saint Just, a wide range of colors and textures are represented. The selection of bevels that Arkansas Glassworks makes available is second to none, totaling some two dozen manufacturers from seven different distributors.

Energy Conservation
Stained glass can be built into insulated glass units. When this is done, the window is encapsulated between two pieces of glass and sealed around the perimeter. These units are usually 3/4" thick. Besides providing a thermal seal, insulated stained glass windows are easier to clean. Insulated units also eliminate the need to install steel bracer bars, otherwise needed in larger windows to prevent buckling.
